Casualty Insurance For Business Owners
February 10th, 2010 by Ani
Casualty insurance is very beneficial for business owners.
Casualty insurance covers for all losses and damages which occur because of unexpected disasters. This type of insurance covers such things like terrorist attacks, fraud and theft. It leaves out health or fire insurance coverage.
You may think that buying casualty insurance is the same as buying a property insurance. If you carefully study a free insurance quote and learn about the benefits that casualty insurance offers, you will hardly find any similarity. The difference is that the object of property insurance is the location of your business, whereas the object of casualty insurance is your business.
For example, if an earthquake occurs and the house where your business is located bears no damages, then your property insurance won’t do anything. But if this earthquake causes interruption of your business, then casualty insurance will be by your side to support you.
As I already said casualty insurance leaves out health care, but conditions may change. If you buy a casualty insurance policy for your car and because of a windstorm you get injured, then the company not only takes responsibility for the car, but also the medical costs of your injuries.
Today many of the policies exclude the repair of damages caused by terrorism or flood. The reason lies within the great sums of money which they will have to pay in such cases. But companies offering casualty insurance are trying to integrate these points as well as identity theft, cyber fraud and the like into the list of its plans.
Anyway, if you want to get casualty insurance for your business, don’t choose it on your own–it’s not that easy. Consult with an insurance agent before making your final decision.
