Define Product Quality With ISO StandardsThe International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the largest international standards developer and publisher in the world. The ISO network includes institutes from 157 countries.

ISO has developed more than 17,000 International Standards. Nearly 1,100 new ISO standards are published annually.

These quality standards are developed to help companies keep control over quality, assist them with good management practices, increase profit margins and reduce risk.

ISO 9001 and ISO 2000 are families of quality management system standards. These standards are maintained by the ISO. Some of the requirements of ISO 9001/2000 comprise keeping adequate records, covering all business key processes, monitoring processes to ensure their effectiveness, facilitating continual improvement, regular reviewing of individual processes and quality system for effectiveness and appropriate production checking for defects.

Chandler, a CNC machining company, delivers quality products that meet their customers’ requirements. The company provides a combined service from initial product design, prototypes to product development and testing. Chandler ISO 9001/2000 certified systems guarantee the methods, capabilities and resources to supply defect-free products.

Chandler quality systems comprise the procedures that help define the methods and practices used in the company to make sure quality is built into the products. Chandler quality systems fully meet all ISO 9001/2000 requirements. They even exceed these standards using the following methods: control plans, effects analysis and process failure mode, advanced product quality planning and a production part approval process.

Therefore, ISO enables companies to meet both the requirements of their businesses and the needs of their customers.
